Facebook launched vertical videos about one week ago, but have you noticed them? Snapchat has proved vertical videos work best on mobile, so with Facebook now offering vertical video, how is it doing?
Figures are still blurry, but Laundry service, who launched some of the first vertical videos under brands such as LG and Hennessy, have already said that vertical videos have had around 3 times higher CPM rate than horizontal/wide screen videos. The move makes sense for Facebook, with over 91% of their 1.13 billion daily users using it on mobile.
If the triple CPM trend goes across the board for all marketers, the new video format will be rewarding for advertisers and content producers.
