With the summer on the horizon, we were tasked with developing a new concept for our Client, Phoenix Natural Gas. The brief was to create a campaign which centred around their summer activity, capturing the character of a Northern Irish Summer. The campaign period coincided perfectly with the major sporting event of the summer: The Open. For us, this presented an opportunity to bring the brand and the event together.
To create a sense of civic pride and locality in the ads, we ushered the welcome return of our beloved Jim & Jane cartoon characters for the occasion. We then developed humorous scenarios that tied golf back to the benefits of natural gas – the hole-in-one home improvement.
The campaign is in full swing on OOH and social media throughout July.
