The stockings were hung by the boardroom with care,

In hopes that #TeamHappiness would soon would be there;

The designers were nestled all snug in their beds;

While visions of press ads danced in their heads;

Mark Irwin was at home, dusting off his old hockey cap,

While Account Handlers were taking, a well deserved nap,

When out in the carpark, there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

I rubbed at my eyes to see what was below,

A handful of elves, all lined in a row

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,

But decorations, trees and bags full of cheer.

They moved at a pace, so lively and quick,

I actually thought they were taking the mick!

They brought in a cracker, some lights and a tree,

Chocolate and music full of Christmas time glee.

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

They brought Christmas spirit to it all!

But with a slip of the tongue I gave out a cry,

I got too excited and spotted was I!

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head

Andy gave me a nod, I had nothing to dread;

They spoke not a word when returning to work,

They’d filled all the stockings; a true office perk!
