We were delighted to be asked to help develop a new brand identity and guidelines for Citywing.
The airline had already established a loyal customer base by providing superior service in a niche market and was eager to grow the service beyond the current IOM, Belfast and Blackpool offerings into Scotland and beyond. Our challenge was to acknowledge the Isle of Man heritage while also positioning Citywing as a modern and outward looking airline – in short, develop a brand that would grow with them.
The fresh new icon was inspired by the Manx Shearwater, an Isle of Man native bird that is known to travel long distances with minimum effort. These are qualities Citywing embody – making air travel look and feel easy, while always going further for its customers.
