When I get asked to do award submissions, I always get nervous. I’m not one to holler about how great I think something is, or how proud I am. But do I think we do great work here? Yes, I do. Do I think we work in a fantastic Agency? Hell yeah! And that is something to be proud of and to shout about – so what better way to make some noise by letting our work do the talking?

Last year, we brought home a biggie – CreativePool’s Small Agency of the Year. These international awards are designed for advertising and marketing experts, and we were honoured to be recognised amongst our peers on a global level.

So, this year we’ve kicked off awards season on the shortlists in two categories. First up, our Fake News campaign to promote Translink’s yLink Card is in the running in the Experiential category, and we are also up for Best Agency to Work For. Two very different aspects of life here at Ardmore, but very entwined!

When I was asked to explain why we’re the Best Agency to Work For, there was only one obstacle – where do I start?! Our #TeamHappiness initiative is probably our most shouted-about benefit, from trips out surfing to Valentine’s treats, we keep everyone’s days positive and fun. Back to business, we are all encouraged to keep striving and progressing in our professional development and training, sharing key learnings, giving and receiving regular feedback, with opportunities for career progression. Our weekly huddle keeps everyone in the loop, and the SoundingBoard gives every member of the team a direct line to the senior team/board directors. Oh, and you get your birthday off!

The “everyone involved” ethos isn’t just for the social side of things either – it spreads into our creative work, too! Check out Jess’s starring role in Translink’s Fake News video, and keep your eyes peeled for a cameo from Cathair! This campaign was great fun to produce, with giant yLink card crash landings, a fake news video article, outdoor, radio and social media elements generating high impact engagement and organic conversations:

We are rightfully proud of our work and of all our staff who contribute so much to making sure we deliver spectacular results for our Clients.

What do you think – is our work award worthy? Does Ardmore sound like the kind of place you’d like to work at? Let us know by voting in the CreativePool Annual 2018.
