With my time at Ardmore coming to a close, I’ve taken a moment to look back and reflect on what has been the most rewarding year of my life to date. Working with some of the best and brightest in the industry, I really can’t imagine a more dynamic, exciting and challenging agency in which to start my career than here.

Fresh out of University, I entered Ardmore full of anticipation. I wasn’t sure what to expect – my only knowledge of Agency life came from watching Mad Men on Netflix, and I had a feeling this wasn’t quite what I’d find here. Nonetheless, from Day One the experience here has been amazing. I was keen to get put through my paces from the get go and I soon found out this wouldn’t be a problem – advertising is fast and frantic!

With a fantastic team around me, I never once felt out of place. Ardmore is one of the top Advertising Agencies in the country and it’s clear to see why. I’ve had a support system around me that has encouraged and demanded me to succeed, continuously challenging me to step outside my comfort zone. From making my acting debut (one poorly delivered line) to dealing with a wide range of diverse and exciting clients, no two days have been the same.

One unique element to Ardmore, is the emphasis on #TeamHappiness – something which added so much to my time at the agency. From Surf Days out, to the fiercely contested Ardmore Sports Day, I’ve had some amazing experiences and laughs (See below for how NOT to ride the waves). The effort is tremendous from so many people in the agency, and it really does shine through with a happy and positive workplace. We promise ‘Spectacular Results’ but that doesn’t happen without spectacular people.

Going back to University, I have nothing but kind words to say about Ardmore and about my time there. I can say with certainty that I’ll be a better student, and a better person for the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and to anyone who thinks this is a career for them, go for it and seize it with both hands- Carpe Diem and all that!
